About the Practice
Structured Operations,
Measurable Outcomes
Accilize was founded on a conviction that mid-market organisations deserve the same rigour in financial operations, analytics, and quality improvement that Fortune 500 firms take for granted — without the overhead, the jargon, or the eighteen-month implementation horizon. We build structured, implementable solutions that teams actually adopt.
Our Methodology
Every engagement begins with a diagnostic — not a sales pitch. We map the current state of your financial close, your reporting pipeline, your KPI framework, and your improvement cadence. We look for the gaps between what the data says and what the team believes, between what the process prescribes and what actually happens each month-end.
From there, we design control systems — not bureaucratic ones, but lean frameworks that give finance leaders visibility into variance, cash flow trajectory, and operational bottlenecks without adding headcount or complexity. Our tools are built to be adopted by the teams who use them daily, not shelved after the consultants leave.
Measurable outcomes are the contract, not the aspiration. We track reduction in close-cycle days, improvement in forecast accuracy, decrease in rework rates, and uplift in reporting confidence. If the numbers don’t move, the engagement hasn’t worked — and we say so plainly.
What We Stand For
Structure
Reliable outcomes start with reliable processes. We design repeatable workflows — month-end close procedures, reporting cadences, escalation protocols — that remove ambiguity and give every team member a clear role in the financial rhythm.
Clarity
Complexity is the enemy of good decision-making. Our dashboards, reports, and frameworks are built to make the important numbers visible at a glance — so leadership spends time acting on data, not hunting for it across spreadsheets and inboxes.
Improvement
A process that doesn’t evolve decays. We embed continuous improvement cycles — PDCA, root-cause analysis, retrospective cadences — directly into operational workflows so that the systems we build get better each quarter, not just at the next consultant visit.
The Team
Leadership

Catherine Aldren
Founder & Principal — Accounting & Quality Improvement
Catherine brings fifteen years of experience in financial operations transformation for mid-market organisations. A CPA with a Master’s in Operations Research, she led month-end close re-engineering projects across manufacturing, healthcare, and professional services before founding Accilize. Her approach blends lean accounting principles with continuous improvement frameworks drawn from quality management disciplines — PDCA, Six Sigma root-cause analysis, and statistical process control applied to financial workflows.

Daniel Reeves
Director of Analytics & Data Engineering
Daniel leads Accilize’s analytics and automated reporting practice. With a background in data engineering and an MBA in Finance, he specialises in building data pipelines that feed real-time KPI dashboards, cash flow forecasting models, and variance analysis tools. Before joining Accilize, he built analytics infrastructure for two private equity-backed portfolio companies, reducing reporting lag from weeks to hours and enabling same-day decision-making for CFOs and operating partners.

Margaret Hsu
Senior Advisor — Quality Improvement & Process Design
Margaret is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with twenty years of quality improvement leadership in healthcare and financial services. She designs the continuous improvement frameworks — process audits, PDCA cycles, retrospective cadences — that Accilize embeds into client operations. Her work ensures that the systems and tools the firm delivers don’t just solve today’s problem but sustain measurable performance gains quarter over quarter.
Mid-market organisations are the backbone of the economy, yet they are routinely under-served by the advisory world. We exist to close that gap — one structured engagement, one measurable outcome, one sustained improvement at a time.
